ICRI Metro NY Highlights ACI 563-25 | Concrete Repair Standards Update

On November 5, 2025, construction and restoration professionals gathered at Club 101 in Manhattan for the ICRI Metro New York Chapter Dinner Meeting, highlighting major updates in concrete repair standards.

The sold-out event focused on ACI 563-25: Specifications for the Repair of Concrete in Buildings, a newly updated document that provides standardized guidance to improve communication and reduce costly errors in concrete repair projects.
Presenters Marjorie Lynch, PE, FACI, Assoc. DBIA of STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES and Jason Coleman, PE, SE, CDT, FICRI of Walter P Moore presented key updates, including expanded specifications for crack repair, cathodic protection, overlays, precast concrete repairs, and post-tensioned systems.
Attendees gained valuable insights into applying ACI 563-25 to real-world repair challenges. Both experts emphasized how ACI 563-25 helps streamline collaboration between contractors, engineers, and building owners, minimizing project delays and disputes.
